I have recently changed the name servers for my domain to a parking
host. I now want to change it new a proper web host or back to my
registrar so I can point the A record at the host. My registrar
(easyspace.com) says that since I moved the name servers away from
ns1-2.easyspace.com I can't use their control panel to change it back.
Is this the normal way thing are done? It seems that you are giving
away control of your domain to a host. It's easy to go to your
registrar and change the name servers to your web host's (this is all I
find when I try to search for information on this). The question is how
do you change it back?
Who now has control over your domain? Do you have to ask your old host
to update their dns records so that it propagates from there or should
you still be able to do it through your registrar? (a whois lookup on
my domain still shows the registrar)
What happens if a unscrupulous web host doesn't respond to your
requests?
A brief explanation would be appreciated. Thanks
