I have a website running and the images are in a fodler called /images. I
havbe discovered that if you type the url and then /images/ you get a list
of everything in that folder.

is there any way this can be stopped?

Use a <Directory> block and add a Option -Indexes, or turn off
the generation of indexes at all. As an alternative, you can use
..htaccess in the Image directory or add an index.html file.
