What do you guys think about these search engine ranking elements ratings
(or however you wanna say it)? Something I found on a site.

Inbound link text: 10 points
title: 9 points
domain name: 7 points
large h1-h2 headings: 7 points
first sentence of first paragraph: 6 points
path or filename: 4 points
proximity (multi kws): 5 points
beginning of a sentence: 2 points
bold or italic text: 1 point
usage in text: 3 point
title attribute: .5 point
alt tag: 1 point
meta descrip: 1 point
meta keywords: 1 point
meta title: 1 point

I guess you mean as some heuristic to apply when evaluating a site yourself?
It doesn't look bad to me, whether it refelects reality however depends on
what search engine you are talking about. Different search engines will of
course emphasise different parts of the source text and the weighting you
give it will of course be wrong in different situations.

I presume the weighting you give is linear BTW. When discussing some aspects
of SEO, such as pagerank, the scaling appears to be logarthmic. Bear this in
mind when performing any "calculations".

What are H1 - H2 headings? I have come accross this before and couldn't
find out what they were or how to implement them.
