SEO and meta refresh

Hi,

We have a website which is very outdated. Nevertheless, we are very
high in search engines rankings for the brands we represent.

We are now building a brand new database driven website, but we are a
little bit afraid to loose our search engine rankings. If we keep all
our old pages and let these pages auto refresh to the new website,
would this influence our actual ranking ?

You need to use 301 redirect.
