Hi,

I would like to use Apache as a reverse proxy. The reverse proxy will
authenticate a user before allowing access to the internal web
application. This auth will be done using sLDAP.

I am not too familiar with Apache - but I would like to gather the
username from this LDAP authentication and send to the internal
servers - using cookie or HTTP headers.

Will Apache do this for me easily ? I can see some posts to this list
that indicate that REMOTE_USER can be forwarded. If this is true, then
an example config would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

F

Use a _real_ proxy like squid for this.

Davide,

I appreciate this input, but I would really appreciate it if someone
could assist me with my original request.

Frank, if someone came to you and say "I want to fix my kitchen sink,
and I want to use my left shoe to do that", what would you say?
