How do I do this? IIs 6.0 includes iiscnfg, but what about IIS 5.0? I see
references to an iisrepl.vbs script, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Hi Brantley,

For IIS5.0 we can use IISSYNC.vbs, IISCNFG.vbs is the replacement of
it on IIS6.0.

249603 Using IISSYNC to Synchronize Clustered Web Sites on Windows
2000
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=249603

313098 PRB: Iissync.exe Not Supported in IIS 6.0
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=313098

However IISSYNC.vbs will do COMREPL (COM+ replication) and security
accounts replication for building IIS cluster. These usually meet
problem and are not necessary for pure configuration replication.

So if you just want to migrate web site configuration, as Jeremy
mentioned, a more recommended way is using IIS 5.0 Migration Wizard:

How To Migrate a Web Server Configuration to Another Computer in
Windows 2000

Please update here if you meet any issues or have further questions.
Thanks.

Does this leave the souce configuration intact on the source server? Does
it remove anything from the source computer?

like the following. what do these messages mean? I

NOTICE 12/20/2004 1:03:34 PM The property from the source server:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="IIS://custweb6b/W3SVC/1/Root/IISHelp.IPSecurity" target="_blank">IIS://custweb6b/W3SVC/1/Root/IISHelp.IPSecurity</a> is not handled by the
migration utility. It will not be exported.

I think this mean that the IP restriction list of the iishelp virtual
directory is not ported/migrated.

Hi Brantley,

The IPSecurity property is corresponding to the 'IP address and
domain name restrictions' configuration in IIS. The message indicates
there is IP or domain restriction setting on the server custweb6b's
default web site->IISHelp virtual directory's properties->directory
security tab. The migration tool will not replicate the restriction
setting. You can manually set it on the new server if necessary.

Please update here if there is any further issue.
Thanks.
