To find just a simple PHP banner rotator that has an admin
so I can create/delete advertiser accounts, expire banners, set fixed
display times etc, a log in so advertisers can check
their stats, edit their info and opt to receive stats by email, and support
different types of banners like html, png, gif, flash etc. ?

I am using PHPAds New now but I can't stand it. I don't need all that extra
bloated junk like zones and campaigns etc.

I guess I will stick with it if I have to but I would prefer something
simpler
and yes I checked at hotscripts.com...

Why not write your own one? I don't do php - but there are loads of tuts for
vb/asp ones. At least you'll get exactly what you want!

two reasons really.
1. not enough time. I don't want to wait to make the site live
2. I am still learning php *grin* I doubt I could make my own
at this point in time. I really do wish I could.

Sounds like a tall order... I'm working on a site search engine script
right now, perhps womething like this could be next Wink It doesn't sound
like much more than PHP interaction with a database. I doubt anything'll
be ready soon though.

I get ideas from anywhere!

I was told to checkout phpAdsNew
I haven't looked at it yet but it's an option worth looking at.

Isn't this the sort of service Double click sell? Not that I'd suggest
them to anyone with less than a turnover in excess of $100,000 pa

If you read my post you would see that is what I have and use now.

I can't stand it though. It is too much for what I need. Too bulky.
I want something simpler without all the zones etc.

It is a good script just not ideal for what I need it for.

I don't know. I am not familiar with them. Basically I want to sell
advertising
on my site and provide those who pay a log in to check stats etc.

try posting on PHPfreaks or phpbuilder.com.
I have found they are pretty helpful.

I really think that you could do it.

No matter how big a script is, it is only ever a combination of little
bits which are simple in themselves.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Carved in mystic runes upon the very living rock, the last words of

I don't know if LinkCycle will do everything you need, but check it out:

won't do even close to what I need.
