Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi All,

I'm rather a newbie with IIS5.0 and was wondering why when clicking the
link that is displayed in the Main section under Publishing in Personal
Web Manager on Win2kPro it goes to this site in my default browser,
http://www.laptop.com/

The link looks like this http://laptop. Why is this happening..? If I
type http://localhost into my browser it goes to the local site on this
machine. I am only using it for local ASP testing. Port80 is blocked
inbound by a very good rule based firewall, Kerio. Any help appreciated
in advance. Cheers.

Mark Sargent.
