Post subject: PPT file on IIS
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have a directory with username password login and users
login through IIS all type of file are accessible only
the PPT files can not be open only the save is working
for this type of file only.

Make sure that a MIME Type for PPT files is configured in IIS such that the
browser knows to treat the download as a PPT file to open instead of just a
bunch of bytes.

password on the directory, else - they open file + ALL
kinds of other files (i.e. xls, doc, pdf) DO OPEN even
with the password, only ppt do not open...
