Remember you advised me about using an <optgroup label> for the drop down
<select> box on my guestbook form here?

http://www.charlessweeney.com/post.php

I added this, worked a treat:

<optgroup label="Choose country from here...">
<option>Australia</option>
<option>Canada</option>
<option>United Kingdom</option>
<option>United States</option>
</optgroup>

Well. I was round at my Mother's tonight. I had a look at my site on her
PC. The labels didn't show on her setup!! I just got all the options
bunched together.

The setup was IE 5.5 Windows 98.

See what happens when I try to get fancy!

yep - works a treat. The browser just ignores (in this instance) stuff it
doesn't understand. visitors on those older browsers won't know any
different.

see what you can do when you keep it simple ;o)
