Post subject: Newbie Questions on Tomcat configuration
Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

I have worked with WebLogic and am very familiar with its
configuration, however my company is starting to convert to Tomcat. I
have some questions about the configuration of Tomcat.

We would like to setup each application to run under its own
application server so that if one application run haywire it does not
affect the others. We would like to setup each application therefore
to run under its own Windows service. I belive I have this figured
out, but from an administration console point of view, I can not see
all of my applications from one admin console. Is there a way to set
this up to work? Currently I have to deploye an admin application to
each instance running under that specific port.

Also is there a 3rd party administration console that is more robust
than the Tomcat provided application?

Any help would be appreciated. thanks
