Post subject: IIS 4 on NT4
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I'm working with two servers on a domain.
Primary controller is windows 2000 server.
Secondary controller is Windows NT 4.0 Server SP6a running IIS4 and exchange 5.5.

After installing OWA, I wish to add SSL. Seen that I need to create a certificate.
On my NT4 server, I'm unable to install certificate server because I'm working on a secondary controller.
Try to install it on my primary controller, but I'm unable too because IIS4 can't be installed on Windows 2000.

Could you tell me if I install IIS5 on Win2000 primary controller, my OWA (IIS4) on NT4 will work with a certificate created by IIS5 ?
If not what must I do ?
many thanks in advance.

Yes, you can create a certificate with Certificate Server 2.0, on Windows
2000, and it will work with IIS 4.0 on Windows NT 4.0.
