Post subject: Multiple site-single Public IP
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Here is my current setup: I have one public IP address
(mail...com) Mail...com is an IIS 5 hosting a site that
can be reached internally and externally. I also have a
IIS 6 server called sharepoint...com. This is only
available internally. We have a Watchguard firewall. How
would I configure IIS so that mail...com:81 goes to
sharepoint...com while mail...com:80 still goes to mail.
Is this possible or would you suggest a different setup.
(remember, I only have one public IP available but would
like both sites to be available externally)

Hello,

Why not forward port 81 in your firewall to the other machine?

I tried this, but it looked like it was still forwarding
the traffic to mail instead of sharepoint with the correct
IP address entered. I will try again. I have also been
searching through Watchguard's forums.
Thanks for the help!
Daniel

In IIS you wouldn't do this, you'd use your Watchguard to forward
ports to specific IP's.
