Why not assign the server multiple IPs, instead of editing host files? That
would be much easier. You do that from:
Right click the NIC, and click Properties (in Start->Settings->Network and
Dial-up Connections)
Select "TCP/IP" and click the Properties button.
Click the Advanced button
Add IP Address(es)
To assign a website to an IP, in IIS Manager, right click the Website and
click Properties. On the "Web Site" tab, select (or type) the IP Address you
want the website to be assigned to. This setting is also available when you
create a new website.
