In IIS 4.0 the installation allowed for selection of a install location. This disappeared in 5.0 and 6.0. Good practice would dictate that nothing (especially published areas) be located on the system drive.

Is there an article for moving all Inet storage to a different drive?

Not sure if there is an article but it is very simple:
1. Stop all IIS services
2. Copy Inetpub to desired drive, for example x:
3. Search the registry for all instances of c:\inetpub and
inetpub
4. Change path from c: to x:
5. Reboot
6. Open up IIS Manager and change all of the home
directory paths.

I have always done this on a clean install of IIS not a
server with existing sites..............
