Post subject: Memory leaks on web server...how to troubleshoot?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Version: IIS 5
OS: Windows 2000 Server
-----------
We have a web server that seems to be slowly eating
memory. Everything was really slow today, so we started
checking the processor and memory usage on the web
server. In the list of processes the amount of RAM only
added up to about 300MB, but under the Performance Tab of
Task Manager it was showing about 1.5GB of memory used.
A restart of the server fixes the problem for a few
weeks, but then we're back to square 1 again. I
installed a program I got of TechNet called IIS5Recycle
today, but I'd like to troubleshoot the issue rather than
to simply circumvent it.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi, You can start enumerating versions and custom components, languages
used.

Such as ADO, vbscript, do you use ODBC or oledb etc.

Sorry Egbert, I'm not sure what you mean, could you
please clarify what you mean by "enumerating components
and languages".
