This is a newbie question. I woould like to use Apache as a media server.
Does anyone know of:
1. a resource that gives an overview of how Apache works to aid my
understanding of what I want to do and
2. someone must have done this already so are there any how-tos writen
specificaly for home media server set up.

Thanks in advance

I am aware of this site and I could not find a consise decription of how
Apache works. There is a <lot> of information to wade through and most of it
would not tell me what Apache does and how it does it.

Tried that and all I could come up with is a site that explained what to do
in Windows.
