Hello

We are looking at getting a new firewall to protect our web servers. (2 x
Windows 2003 R2 running IIS.)

One of the questions we have been asked is, under normal load, what is the
number of connection attempts per second and how many open connections would
the firewall need to support?

Can someone tell me the best way to collect this information?

I know that there is a connection attempts counter within performance
monitor, but how about open connections?

Thanks

David

In performance monitor you have "Web Service\Current Connections" which
seems to be what you are looking for.
