After upgrading to Windows Server 2003, we see the following header many
times throughout the day in our iis logs. In prior versions this meant the
service had been restarted, but the server appears to running fine. Does
anyone know why IIS 6 is putting this entry in our logs?

Hello,

When the webserver is idle, IIS 6.0 will make resources available for other
purpose. HTTP.sys will close the log file when the worker process spins
down, and when it later opens the log file for writing, the header fields
will be written.

This is not something you have to worry about, it is normal. You should only
be concerned if you can find messages in the Event log that IIS was
restarted.
