Post subject: IIS Not Logging Activity
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have 2 IIS server configured with WLBS and sharing a virtual IP address to facilitate this. For the rest of the month in February, from the 11th on, there was no activity logged in the log files. None! As if there were no visits to the site, when we no that this is not the case. This is a heavily used site, and we would no if the servers were not working, the public would let us know.

This is very strange, because the logging began again this morning. Just out of the blue it was working again. No changes were made to logging configuration for the site or anything like that. Just strange.

Any help would be great.

Hello,

Have you checked the Event log for error messages? It should tell you why it
could not create the logfile.
