Is it possible to get the username from IE?

I applied anonymouse access for my web application and I am hosting my
application in public ip.
Now I am approaching the following solution:

1. I am getting the ip address of the requested client
2. I am getting the username from the ip address using nbtstat command

for 1 I am getting the public ip (not the actual client ip). But when I
redirect my request to someother application I am getting the actual ip.
Is it firewall dependent? If so, how can I get the actual ip address of the
client?

Is there any way to get the username instead of nbtstat?

Yes turn off anonymous access and grant Domian Users read access to at least
the ASP file that is being executed.

Now you can get the Username from the server variable AUTH_USER or
LOGON_USER

Anthony.
