On my IIS6 server (windows 2k3) the times recorded in my
IIS log files are off by hours.

2004-08-11 01:32:38 is an attempt at 9:28PM. System time
and time zone are correct. Please help!

Hi,

If you are using W3 Extended Logging, then all time stamps are in GMT. This
is part of the W3 Extended logging specification. You can't change it. This
means that your log files avoid problems with repeating time, or missing
time, when you change into/out of daylight savings (for example).

You can configure IIS to roll-over the logfiles based on local time, but the
timestamps inside the files will always be GMT if you use W3 extended
logging. Your web log analysis software should be able to cater by applying
an offset, if required.

Cheers
Ken

Move from California to Greenwich, England. Logs are GMT.
