Hi,

I installed IIS 5.1 on my XP Pro machine. When I try to open
http://localhost i get an error message. ( ) Do I have to configure my
Linksys Router in order for this to work on my machine. I've been trying to
get this to work for about a week now and I'm gonna smash my computer soon!

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

No, you don't need to configure your router for <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://localhost." target="_blank">http://localhost.</a> Paste the
error message here and see if someone can help you resolve it
or
Give me your computer instead of smashing it Smile

Also check the Event Viewer in Administrative Tools and see if it is
logging any errors when you try to access http://locahost and post those
errors as well. You can also try accessing http://127.0.0.1 and see if that
works.
