Post subject: KB827991 fix doesn't last a full day?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Anyone else apply this fix: KB827991 (IIS6 authenticating across trusted
domains)?

The fix works after a reboot, but doesn't even last a full day (at least
'til the next reboot). Approx. 12 hrs. after the reboot, users have to
input the <DOMAIN>\<USERNAME> again if they are not on the same domain as
the IIS box is in.

Happening to anyone else?

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

At least one customer has applied this fix on many production servers and
did not report what you are seeing.

If you believe it should work in your configuration, please open a case with
PSS about it.

dllhost uses full processor = IIS crashes - Every 2 days or so, all sites on our IIS box become inaccessible. The only fix for this seems to be to restart the server. I've read up on IISState this afternoon, but the log files aren't telling me anything at present, although the DLLHOST..
