Post subject: Job posting - Philadelphia - E-commerce Tech & Graphic Artist
Archived from groups: alt>ecommerce (more info?)

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pay is dependant on experience and
abilities. Locals preferred.

Professional costume house seeks technical computer person to work on
many aspects of its' web presence. Currently much of the development is
done outside the shop. We currently have multiple web sites both
informational as well as e-commerce. This hiring is being done to bring
some more expertise in-house. We are a Macintosh shop and will stay
that way. Offsite we use a variety of industry standard hardware.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite along with Macromedia Flash and how to
create graphic & promotional images is needed. We are not looking for
an in-house ad agency, but a working ability is mandatory. Need to be
able to work with simple existing shopping cart software and to modify
and adjust it as needed. Should be familiar with basic e-mail and word
processing programs.

We are not looking for anyone to code or program. This should be a
person who can work with creative programs and also web applications to
make things look professional and nice.

Basic knowledge of excel, simple databases, and how to import and export
are needed. Working with search engines, shopping web sites, and others
may require uploading data or images.

Essentially we are looking for a person who is technical and who can
learn. We do not expect you to know all of the specific programs we
use, but if you already know Adobe and some of the major ones, we know
you can learn some of our specific programs like our shopping cart
software.

Our products are pretty fun and unusual, so you will get exposure to a
little more interesting stuff than working in an everyday web shop. We
would consider both full time as well as part-time people as long as
they were able to commit to a set amount of hours a week. We realize
that much of this work can be done after hours by the right person and
know that this is something that may appeal to the flexible employee.

If you think that you have a background that would work for what we
need.. Please contact us. We are only accepting applications via the
internet. Please send your resume along with a cover letter and
references (preferably in MS Word format) to: hiring.RemoveThis@costumers.com

No Phone calls are being accepted at this time.

Qualified candidates will be contacted to set up an interview.
