Why not just hit Ctrl-F? Opera users only need to press . (period)

Seems like a lot of trouble to replace a feature all browsers already have.

I did not know about period -- and Opera's been my primary browser for
years. I did know about pressing the slash, because that's a common way of
engaging search in the *nix world.

Playing around, just now, I also just discovered the search that pressing
comma brings up.

(Opera 7.23, Linux)
