Hi,

I have been noticing regular entries in my httpd error logs along the
format

[Thu Mar 08 07:27:19 2007] [error] [client 74.6.75.20] Invalid method
in request \x80\x8c\x01\x03\x01

There is more than 1 IP address but they seem to resolve to Inktomi...

I have google and searched this group but not found anything with the
same problem...I'm running

Apache httpd 2.0.52-28.ent.centos4

With 3 IPs, one of which runs a http & https site (working fine as far
as I know), and the 2nd IP runs several virtual sites (all on port
80).

Can anyone throw any light on these error messages? Eith on how to fix
the problem or track it down....

Many Thanks

Brian

and would this suggest that i have some type of configuration error or
is it due to inktomi scanning the internet and speculatively testing
for https connections?
