Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

hi everyone,

I have a problem in administrating my company intranet. It
seem very slow when I using the intranet website. The
status bar show that "website found, waiting to reply.".
The problem is, why my own intranet website response is
slower than surfing the internet. My company intranet used
apache server and the cold fusion server for the intranet
website.

Hope someone can help me.

Thank You.

You're using Apache? Then it can't really be an IIS issue, can it?

Could be name resolution overhead. if you
browse directly using IP, is it faster ?

ensure you don't have any network bottleneck.
try ping the machine, if it's on your intranet you
should get a pretty fast reply. say below 20ms.
