Does anybody know where I can get hold of some Internet use stats for
the UK?
Something like, X amount of people have gone online since last year, X
amount of people spend more than £X on online shopping per year, X
amount of people will search the Internet for a product they need before
going out to buy it.
I know statistics can't always be accurate, but it would be handy to
help small businesses understand how a decent website can help them out.
Cheers,

Yes.
You retain a poll company, like Mori, to conduct a survey and analyse
the data for you - that's what they do.

I was hoping I could get some free info, and I think I've found some
figures I can use.
Thanks, Brucie, for the link. Very handy, and interesting to see Albania
has 10 ISPs for 1200 users. The tech support guys must be Minesweeper
experts.

hunt around for other articles at cyber atlas, even though the US thinks
its the only country in the world the articles occasionally have
breakdown numbers by country.

I wouldnt bother with it Daniel. This "internet" thing that people keep
talking about is just a fad. It will never take off. Nobody is going to
want to jump on the band wagon over here.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Internet Statistics |

The question:
Do you use the internet?
Reminds me of a send-up news program where the telephone poll question
was 'Do you have a phone'. Yes 51%, No 49%.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Internet Statistics |

I guess I went over most other (as in not you) people's heads....as
usual.
I was trying to say that polls are next-to-worthless, but at least
retain a reputable (?) company like Mori to conduct it.
