Ok, we have a virtual directory that is on a NAS device (SNAP appliance).
When we go to access files in that directory via IE we sometimes get a Page can not be Displayed error. If you then hit refresh the page loads fine. The page will then load fine for 10 to 20 minutes after the refresh. It will then seem to lose connection, and you will get the Page can not be Displayed errore again.

Any thoughts as to root cause, or tweaks to IIS?

What IIS version are you referring to?

Many improvements have been made in IIS6, so it would be interesting if this is the platform you are on. If you are on IIS 5 and w2k, ensure you are on sp4
and there are not any critical updates missing in windowsupdate. Then, run a netmon and try and reproduce the error. If successful, then you probably will
want to open a case with MS support.

Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.
