I am new to Interland - we usually host our customer's websites but this
customer insisted we use Interland for the hosting. Something about the
site just seems a little "slow" to me. So over the past couple weeks and
from multiple locations, I've been checking large file downloads from the
site, and only seeing about 700Kbps - 1000Kbps max. Is this lousy speed
typical of Interland sites?

It's on a shared server, Win2003 based.

Thanks.

I hosted with Communitech prior to them being taken over by Interland and
the results were immediately disasterous. More trouble tickets in a month
than with Communitech over 4 years. No replies, vanishing SSL, you name it
they did it. Inteland are notorious for absent and abominable service.
Their servers were always overlaoded and desperately slow. Just take a look
in the forums - it's dead.
