IIS Instalization Freeze

Thank you in advance for any help.

I just got my new Windows Media Center PC. I am trying to install IIS via
the windows component install. However every time I try the install freezes.
All other applications run fine while the install is frozen. It freezes
while completing the instalization of SMTP the server.

I saw a couple of other posts that asked about the iis6.log file contents so
here they are:
