Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hello,

We're using IIS5.0 on W2KSP4. When looking at extended log files,
checking sc-bytes value, we see an incorrect value in comparison with
the one extracted from sniffing network (ethereal).
M$ KB states this issue with header value that was corrected with
SP1...

as an example, we have POST request with sc-bytes 89 instead of 661
(ethereal value)

Any idea ?

Thanks

François

sc-bytes is what the name suggests - server to client bytes, that is the
number of bytes in the response, not the request. Could that be your
problem, comparing apples to oranges?

Hello,

Well, I had to give you a precision. Both sc-bytes and cs-bytes display
incorrect values...
Q258189 gave us an answer. But I'm not sure it applies to my issue
because M$ stated that issue is corrected since SP1... and we are at SP4
level.

Regards

François
