Problem: Index server is bringing back pages that it it shouldn't The
problem is
i can't find where these pages are comming from..

I have tried a number of methods for excluding directories etc. But i still
get funny pages.

The second problem is how can i exclude particular pages if i have to. or
whole directories where required to..

The last problem is we have different servers with the same content on both
servers but i get different results from the server,,,

No way we could help there, since we don't know what "funny pages"
actually are or why you think they shouldn't be returned.

Do this in the scope of the query, or exclude the directory from
indexing if you don't need to have it ever return a result.

Can't help there without more details. Post them to the Index Server
group. The exact query, expected resultrs, actual results, etc.
