Hi,

I'm running a 2.0.44 on XP Professional. Somehow I cannnot access images
with more than 24 KB over the web server. Directly via the file system is
works. I'm using the 2.0.44 version for a while now but I have recently
switched from W2K Server to XP Prof. I never had this problem with W2K so
maybe this is something caused by XP.

The access log tells me that I have accessed the file but there is no entry
in the error log. Using IE it tells me that the server could not be found,
Opera displays a strange page with a lot of gibberish in the source and
Mozilla that the page contains no data.

So, is there something in Apache you can configure that might cause this
behavior?

Thx,
Andreas Knollmann

Are you using some kind of firewall or antivirus? There were reports
of some of those heavily messing around with the whole functioning of
the machine.

It was the antivirus tool (eset nod32). Uninstalled the damn thing, rebooted
and there were the images. So reinstalled nod32 to find an option what might
have caused the problem. Nothing found, rebooted again and it still works. I
guess you just have to love Windows...
