I am working with a server running Server 2003. I've enver really
worked with this before . I'm trying to install Perl. The
documentation says that I should load IIS from the Admin menu........

There is no choice for IIS from the admin menu.......

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Arthur

Hi,

IIS isn't installed by default like it was in 2000. To install IIS go to
the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components ->
Application Server
And install the parts you need

Hi John,

I'm not looking to run any type of CGI applications from my 2003
server. But I want to run some Perl scripts to perform some
background maintenance. Would I still need to install IIS and such to
do this? Or would Perl run fine as long as it is in my path?

Arthur

Hi,

You don't want to use Perl with IIS?

Sure it will work without IIS, but why did you ask this in an IIS newsgroup?
