ISM crashes when viewing site properties.

It sounds like a permissions problem, you need to be in
the Administrators Group to use ISM fully.
Are you logging in with the same userid on both servers?

There's nothing in the logs from the times ISM is
crashing. I suppose I should mention that this has been
working correctly for some time and just recently started
having this problem. Other than system patches (regular OS
patches) there hasn't been anything done to this server.

I'm logging in using the same Domain Admin. account on
both servers. Also, see my reply above. This has been
working fine (using the same account) for quite some time
and only recently became a problem.

Very interesting, that it is just the Default web site. By any chance, has anybody tried to ACL the metabase? Check this article:

Also, have another admin login, and attempt to view it; see if it is profile related. And, try creating a new console: start -> run -> mmc and add in IIS.
