Hello John,
It sounds like either you dont' ahve IIS installed, your MMC is corrupted
or the dll that allows the MMC to be loaded isn't loaded into memory...
First, make sure the IISADMIN Service is listed in services and started
(doesn't have to be started to get MMC to work however)
If it's there, then create a new snap in from start, run, type in MMC and
press enter. Then add a snapin and look for the Ineternet Information
Services Snap In.
If that loads, then your other MMC just needs to be replaced... however if
you still fail, then it's likely that the inetmgr.dll wasn't loaded...
Try unregistering inetmgr.dll then registering it again... see if that
helps...
Also, check your event logs if all, this fails for your reply back to us.
