Post subject: New to IIS/FTP and need help
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I'm very new to IIS and need some help getting my webserver running
the way I want it. I am using Windows 2000 and IIS 5.0 with a single
external IP address. Currently I have my sites using host headers to
distinguish between web sites and the sites are in 'D:\web' folder. In
that folder I have 'site1' and 'site2' websites and I have FTP set up
so that the root folder is 'd:\web'.

What I'd like to be able to do is have it so that when user1 logs into
FTP they see 'site1' but not 'site2' and when user2 logs in they see
'site2' but not 'site1'. Way it works now is that they both see both
and can manipulate files in each subdirectory. Tried playing with the
permissions on the folder but ended up making it so everyone had to
log in to view the website via the web browser.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Ed

You might want to take a look at the following KB article: 201771 How To
Set Up an FTP Site So That Users Log Onto Their Folders
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=201771

Hope this helps!
