Help!
I changed the NTFS permissions on a few folders in the default web folder because I wanted to restrict access.
Now the default page itself pops up the authentication window asking for username and password. I can just hit ok and it loads, but users are trying their usernames and passwords and not getting in!

Here are the NTFS settings
administrators full
everyone full
system full
users full

Anonymous access is checked in the IIS directory security settings!

How can I get it to allow anonymous access again?

Thank You
internet guest account full

Make sure in the edit Anonymous screen that there is a check in the "Allow
IIS to manage password"

It is. And even if you don't type a username or password and just click Ok, it lets you in...

Where did you apply the permissions at the wwwroot or the web site? If you
did it at the root, click advanced on the security screen and select
"Replace entities on child...". This will propagate the same permissions
from above to the objects below.
Once this is fixed, you may want to remove the "Group everyone", "Full
control" permission.
