Post subject: HostGator - How best set up. Newbie question. Thanks
Archived from groups: alt>www>webmaster (more info?)

I have set up a website on RoadRunner at one time. I created a domain
name and just pointed it to the Roadrunner web address. No problem.

I recently registered 4 domain names with HostGator through their
Registry Rocket Service.
https://www.registryrocket.com/default.asp?ec=5103184A-8C21-4EFA-ACA0-...olor=ta

I also paid for a web hosting account with Host Gator.
www.hostgator.com

It will take about 24-48 hours for DNS to be set up.

However the simple question I have is:

How do I have the 4 domain names point to the 1 host account with
HostGator?
(note I picked 4 names that I wanted to reflect the same content-just
to reserve names and such-.com, .net, etc..)

Perhaps HostGator will provide me a domain name server and or IP
address and then somehow I must change the 4 DNS records to reflect
this singular redirect of sorts.

Am I close in concept?

Thanks in advance.
Joe

You also need to have purchased their pack that lets you addon domains.
Make sure you read the Addon part of the FAQ<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Have you tried reading their docs or asking their support staff?
