Just upload the pdf files to the site like any other file. A properly
configured browser with the pdf reader will display the pdf file inside the
browser.

How long any browser will continue to do so remains to be seen.

Misconfigured means the browser doesn't know what to do with it and prompts
you with an "open, save.." dialog box, unless that's the way you want it to
behave.

A windows based browser equipped with the Adobe Acrobat reader will
download and then display the PDF file

Quite what happens on Unix using perhaps Konqueror I couldn't say.

for me, i prefer to put up a small graphic of the program that will most
likely open, in this case a small acrobat icon if you will to show that the
file is a PDF, some people will open it and if you have an older machine (a
few og my older machines) get really bogged down with pdfs on the web

just a thought

I have the icons on my site, feel free to "steal"
