i use XP Prof (FAT32) - all OK.
when use 2003 server (NTFS) :
query file(which do not have ssi-instructions(or have it)), but
which is in Application extensions and bring to ssinc.dll
get in browser(IE6.0) 404 b error.

Try to switch the SSI to allow state in IIS.
I have one Question.. is possible to set SSI allow state but only a one web
site ? I want to set enable ssi, but only a one site, not to all sities.. is
possible????
