Archived from groups: alt>www>webmaster (more info?)

Hi,

A friend has his domain name originally registered with Tucows.com.
Up to now, he has using HomeStead.com to host his site. Now, he
wants to switch to a different web host, but not sure how to go about
making this change. Should he contact HomeStead.com or Tucows.com to
change the domain name server info regarding his website?

Can anyone provide some infor regarding this? How long does it
normally take to have such a switch done successfully?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Terry

He has to contact tucows to change the nameserver.
He should have access to some kind of domain control panel to manage his
domain.

the moment the nameserver is change, it takes 24 - 72 hours for the dns to
propagates.
