Post subject: IIS Hangs during install
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)
Is there an "install log" that IIS creates during installation? When installing it from the Windows 2000 (SP4) Add/Remove Programs utility, IIS gets to about 95% then just stops. After killing the process with the Task Manager, the Add/Remove Programs dialog shows IIS as installed, but I fear that it may not function correctly.

Has anyone experienced this?

look for 'failed' entry in %windir%/iis5.log
