With a move imminent and supposedly me being allowed to restore a full back
up as well as home/sql back ups
I want to ask which is better? I know what it is like to start over with
just home back ups and sql back ups.

What are the advantages of using a full back up when moving to a new host?
Disadvantages?

I have never used a full back up before so any thoughts welcome.

Heidi

Does the cpanel full backup back up your MYSQL databases on that host
or do you need separate backups of those?

If transfering to another cpanel provider, full backup is quite nice.
They can completely reconstruct your domain quickly, email boxes,
aliases, etc.

You can set up you raccount at the new provider first, and then have
the full backup ftp the file directly over there.

Yes, take it from me, it does. Smile

My thought about the original question is, why *not* do a full? Just to be
safe. Plus that'll get the db's too.

Silly, of course I am :p
What I want to know is what are the advantages to installing a full back up
as opposed to doing both home and sql back ups only.
Perhaps I didn't make myself clear :p I have a bad habit of that.
