Archived from groups: alt>www>webmaster (more info?)

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

"Thanks for your interest in Froogle UK. Your store, www.aah-haa.com, has
been approved. We'll help you get up and running in no time.

The first thing you'll need to do is create a Merchant Centre account
here:"
And I did and did it again - then after the 4th attempt gave up as the form
just bounces around and around ?
Anyone else?

I'll tell you if I ever get that far.....I applied to be listed on Froogle
last week, and I've heard nothing back from them.....I emailed them to see
what's happening with my application.....Still no response.....
It seems they don't want to list my store.....

Finally cracked it on the 7th attempt. It only worked with digits up front
for the password ??
And don't email Froogle as they don't reply.

It took them the better part of a month before they approved mine.

Have you used Kelkoo's service?.....I'd be interested to hear how you think
the two compare against each other.....

Hmm, having a quick look at Kelkoo now I don't think the idea would
really fly with the client. They're probably the stingiest fuckers
on earth and I have enough trouble getting them to pay *me* let
alone pay out for an SE listing that wouldn't show benefits last
week...

Kelkoo do a free search service, pretty much like the one that Froogle
offers.....You don't have to go with the pay per click option.....It's just
that hey hids their free option so it's harder to find.....
You can sign up to it here
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="https://extranet.kelkoo.net/productsearch/public/register.do" target="_blank">https://extranet.kelkoo.net/productsearch/public/register.do</a>
We upload a fresh feed every Friday....

I received my account confirmation from Froogle today by the way.....They've
really gone out of their way to make the sign-up procedure as complicated as
possible.....

Forghot to mention.....The VAT No, and Company No are optional....They have
them marked as required on the form, but you can put in N/A and your
application still verifies....They told me that themselves....

Yup. My view is that Google may have some great programmers and some
really innovative ideas, but their customer service skills leave a
little something to be desired. Still, free is free. Even if I am
still waiting for my feed to go live despite it being approved for
nearly a week.
