For a starting point is there any free shopping cart software out there that
is worth spending time with, otherwise what is the best option for minimal
investment ?

Thanks

I use Paypal on one of my sites, and it works pretty well. There are several
javascripts available for more versatility like selecting color or size,
coupon, etc.

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.store2003.com/" target="_blank">http://www.store2003.com/</a> is about $80 to 100 but I have other sources for
scripts. My site is <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.howtofreelance.com" target="_blank">http://www.howtofreelance.com</a> and you can contact me from
there
