Hi,

Could someone recommend a good php/mysql content management system
please.

I would use phpnuke but I feel that is a bit overkill for what I need.
Is there software that is a bit more straightforward or cut down
compared to phpnuke?

Cheers,

zeebop.

I was going to recommend Typo3, but if phpnuke is overkill I guess it's
not what you were looking for Smile.

You could check out the many blog systems, they're usually very simple.

And of course if you could outline what you need, we wouldn't have to
make wild guesses..

Looks good thanks. (I'll be running it on Linux)
I started wading through the CMS programs on hotscripts, but there are
squillions.
This one doesnt seem to bad.

Here are "squillions" more choices.

But the good thing of the site I list is that all cms are live and you can
demo them yourself. They are all Linux/Apache/PHP/MySQL cms.

WOW! I checked http://www.phpwcms.de (someone mentioned it) and I am
really really really impressed by the quality of this cms!! This is
the best I have seen for small to midsized cms. I never really liked
all those Nuke types of cms and other portal systems. PHPWCMS is
EXACTLY what I had in mind when thinking of a good cms. I am no
programmer so could not program it myself, and have no money to have
it built. This German guy Oliver Georgi seems to have read my mind or
something. Thanks alot! I'm really excited and happy about it Smile Very
cool!

Thanks for the poster of the link in the thread (have deleted the
original message)!!
