I'm running win XP Pro (French version) SP1 and trying to install IIS
however, the installation stop when the file IIS_default.htm6 can't be found... I ran searches both on my computer and the Win XP CD, and it's not there (and not in the cab files either)

Anyone know what could be the problem?

Hello, are you using original CD or pirated? If it is pirated, good luck.

Hi, I had the same problem, IIS_default.htm6 not found and I had an original WinXP as well.
I sorted out the problem by manually creating an empty textfile and naming it IIS_default.htm6
The installation asked for other 33 files (htm, gif, asp), I did the same for all of them.
IIS is now installed, but the funny thing is that if you do a search (including hidden and sys folders) on your hd after installing IIS you can't find those files... looks like they're only needed for the installation.
